Geogria Tech vs Auburn
Well this past saturday goes to show how much I know about college football. I thought the Auburn defensive line would be one of the strong points along with linebacker for the Tigers. Turns out the secondary was the only unit that showed up to play. They had to Daniels spent most of his time there. The secondary gave an early touchdown but played well the rest of the game. Although he had several turnovers, Auburn fans should be very excited by the performance of Brandon Cox. I told a friend of mine that Brandon would equal Jason Campbell's career total for 300 yard passing games in is debut, which he did. What I didn't expect was the 5 turnovers. While Brandon is ultimately responsible for his own mistakes its a touch situation for a first time starter to play from behind the entire game. Every time Auburn got some momentem there seemed to be a false start to kill the drive or put the offense in way too many long yardage situations. Long yardage is tough for a verteran QB. Brandon was particularly impressive with his change of snap count and the attempt to take advantage of free plays. Unfortunately the Tigers couldn't convert any of those.
