Alabama High School Football 2005
The anticipation is killing me. I am ready for football. I'm still debating if we should make any attempt at changing the site design for www.prepsports.us other than changing the color scheme for the new year. Website or not, I'm really just ready to see some teams and see how the new year unfolds with new coaches at Thompson and Pelham, a new QB at Hoover and all sorts of other things. Will anyone unseat Hoover? They just won their own 7 on 7 tournament for the first time so that doesn't bode well. I had the opportunity to speak with Joey Jones, head coach of Mountain Brook, at last years Super 6 and he seemed to think Hoover might even be better this year. I don't have any problem with Hoover being better but I would like to see some parity, particularly in 6A. Maybe Spain Park can avoid last years injuries and give the Bucs a run. I'm very interested in seeing Neil Caudle (of Spain Park) play again this year now that he has commited to Auburn. I had a chance to see him last year again Oak Mountain but it was under less than optimal conditions. Unfortunately for the Shelby schools I still think they'll be looking up at Hoover, Spain Park, Vestavia and Moutain Brook. I'm looking forward to the Birmingham News' preview to see how Ron Engram ranks region 6.
Well I guess I'll just have to keep waiting. Look for more from me as the season gets closer.
